There’s a metric boatload of marketing tactics out there (#overwhelm!). At the end of the day it’s always the time-tested simple stuff that outperforms the latest marketing tactic or hack…
…and by outperform I mean will explode your results faster than anything else you do.
For example, one of those is writing down your Brand Message.
Yes…”Brand Message” sounds boring! But its a key part of your Superior Selling System and consequently key to dominating your market. And who doesn’t want to do that!
Every potential client, and every search engine, has a fundamental set of questions in their mind. Therefore how you answer these, or don’t, helps them decide who to reach out to (or send traffic to). If you consistently answer these questions you’ll consistently get more traffic and clients as a result. You can use words, pictures or demonstration to answer them. In other words it works in all media.
Here’s a simple set of questions to ask yourself:
- 1. What is it about your service or product that makes it unique?
- What value do you provide to your customers or clients?
- Who is your ideal customer/client?
- What’s the #1 goal you have when it comes to your website?
- What problem(s) do your services/products solve for your clients/customers?
- What style/tone appeals best to your target audience?
**Extra credit – similarly spend two hours and look at your top 3 competitors websites. Try and answer those questions as if you were shopping around. You’ll find their strengths and plenty of weaknesses which will help you figure out better ways to communicate. (I use a spreadsheet to keep track).
